Ordering Process
The ordering process that seems to work best for our customers and us is as follows:
- Please write to Philip Smith at philip@cafexporto.com. We will add you to our short list of potential customers.
- We will send you a “projected menu” in August. There will be space for you to “reserve” boxes of coffee in the right side of the menu, alongside each coffee type. In the same email.
- If you are a new customer or you are interested in a coffee in which you are not familiar, at this time we can send you a sample of this coffee from our previous harvest to give you an understanding of the profile of that coffee.
- We ask that you return the email to us as quickly as possible showing the boxes of each coffee you wish to reserve or what samples you would like to try.
- We also respectfully ask that you respond to your thoughts on the samples sent as soon as possible.
- We should be able to send you confirmation of your reservation, or necessary changes, in early October when we have the results of the harvest. The ultimate quantity of coffee production is not in our control and can vary from our projections. Accordingly, as production allows, we may need to proportionately reduce certain coffees.
- We will send you samples of the current harvest in the second week of October. If you approve of the samples, your reservation will turn into an order.
- Coffee is generally shipped in December or January.
Any comments from customers to improve this process will be warmly received and considered.
