Genetic Bank

All our varieties maintain their best characteristics thanks to our genetic bank. Each seed comes from a identified origin, whether from a farm (exclusive origin) or an experimental lot, and preserves the pure characteristics of its variety. We refer to this as “first generation.”

The benefit of keeping the seeds in their first generation is that we cultivate plants that are:

• Disease-resistant.
• Ideally tall.
• Highly capable of nutrient absorption.
• Flavor profile characteristic of the variety.

These qualities allow us to achieve greater productivity, which in turn translates into excellent flavor in the cup. Not conducting a renewal cycle would adversely affect the pure characteristics of the variety.
